My Must Haves

Kona is OBSESSED with this Wild Knots Bear and so are we! It looks like a typical stuffed bear, but inside it is mostly rope, with minimal stuffing. Kona plays with it daily, but for whatever reason, she isn't interested in ripping it apart (which she normally does!). I assume it has something to do with the rope inside, but who knows. This bear has lasted since Christmas Day, so I call this a HUGE win. 

If I needed to, I could probably survive off this one appliance. At least for a little while.... You can pick from slow cooking or pressure cooking which is lovely, but you can also sauté, air fry, bake, broil, etc.! We've made pulled pork in less than two hours (including prep, shredding and tossing in sauce!), scrambled eggs, made a pasta bake (we were running off our generator and I was desperate for comfort food and minimal cleanup!), chili in under an hour (this is weekly in our household), air fried potatoes and endless vegetables, cooked a whole chicken WITH crispy skin, made a one pot salmon with veggies & rice. Seriously, the options are endless with this beauty! Oh my gosh - I have even dehydrated camping meals in it!

Talk about improving my sleep quality! I used to wake up hot and uncomfortable, sometimes to the point where falling back asleep was really hard. In my single days, I would just turn on the AC or blast a fan, but since I am married to a guy who lived in Maui for 16 years, I try to be mindful of him and he is almost always cold! So, after months of hearing my sister tall about her cooling pad, I bought one for myself. This thing is incredible and I honestly have used it all winter! It has various settings and cycles, so I play around with it some depending on the season and how our house feels. This mat actually cycles water through the pad, it's not just one of those gel pads. I know spring is here, but, finding pants that fit me right is a nightmare. Expect me to find snow pants that fit me right, and you should expect to find me in tears. I found these snow pants and was skeptical, but I was desperate! As soon as I put them on, I knew they were exactly what I was looking for. Personally, I love that they are overalls because they keep me warmer when I'm out on the ice. I've had zero issue with my legs staying warm (usually wear leggings or pajama pants under) and the length is perfect for my longer legs, even with boots! And yes, they do come in standard and short! And lots of color options! 

I hadn't purchased new winter boots in years.. Like, probably 10+ years. I've always dreaded picking out boots because I felt like it was impossible to find something practical (hello NH winters) without completely sacrificing fashion (not that I even consider myself fashionable!). Add having big feet and the task was even more difficult. Last winter, I had had enough and thought I'd try a cheaper pair off Amazon to get me through the rest of the season. Whelp, I am happy to report I have been using this beauties as my go-to winter boot for two seasons now and still love them. They aren't the absolute cutest, but they are definitely more fashionable than my old pairs. Plus, they are comfortable, pretty warm (I still wear big socks) and have kept my feet dry during walks and long days of ice fishing. There are tons of colors/styles to pick from too!

Okay - this is such a silly little decoration, but the amount of joy it brings me is unreal! It is one of the first things I turn on when I get into my office each morning. There are various settings, but I just keep it on the steady light. You can adjust the branches to your liking and could even put tiny decorations on it to theme it for various seasons/holidays (okay, now I need to start doing that!). Making my workspace feel comfy and cozy is very important to me, and this little tree certainly helps! 

Who doesn't love a new planner?! I know it always makes me feel excited and refreshed when it comes time to order a new one for the upcoming year. I used to get sucked into these big, sticker filled, excessive planners that were so fun and creative but totally overwhelming. I found myself not wanting to ruin the fresh pages with the wrong sticker or colored pen, and basically neglected to actually use the planner! A few years ago I was gifted this planner and it is so simple and perfect. It is exactly what my brain needs! And hey, I actually took the sticker booklets from my old planners and kept them - now I use them on a regular basis without feeling overwhelmed about the artwork of my planner.
